Quantum Alliance at the virtual APS March Meeting

This year the American Physical Society (APS) invites its global audience to get together exclusively online for their annual March Meeting. From March 15th to 19th, more than 10.000 international physicists, scientists and students are attending the APS’s first virtual event of this magnitude. Under the umbrella of the initiative Research in Germany, the Quantum Alliance will provide detailed information on the German physics research landscape and about career and funding opportunities for scientists of all career stages.

Meet us on “Physics in Germany” Exhibitor Page

On the "Physics in Germany" Exhibitor Page, visitors can gain an overview of the German research landscape and learn more about PhD, research, funding and collaboration opportunities in Germany in the fields of physics.

Online Workshop “Doing Physics in Germany”

Thursday, March 18 2021, 11am-1:30pm (CDT) / 5pm-6:30pm (CET)

A live online workshop will provide international researchers with insights into different research and funding opportunities and possible career paths in the field of physics in Germany. Workshop participants can get in touch with recipients of individual research funding programs offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) or the German Research Foundation (DFG). They can ask PhD candidates and scientists working at German universities in the Quantum Alliance, at Max Planck Institutes and Research Schools or at institutes of the applied Fraunhofer Society about their experiences within the German research landscape.

Hear first-hand stories and learn how you can start your physics research career in Germany!
