The Cluster of Excellence PhoenixD (Photonics, Optics, and Engineering - Innovation Across Disciplines) at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) invites applications for the position of a Coordinator (m/f/d) for New Degree Programs and Diversity and Internationalization (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %) to be filled as soon as possible. The position is assigned to introducing two new degree programs with a scope of 50 % and a fixed-term contract until December 31, 2023. A further 50 % of the position is allocated to enhancing the diversity and the internationalization of the cluster with a fixed-term contract until December 31, 2025.

ML4Q | Postdoc position in topological-insulator circuit Quantum Electrodynamics

A postdoc position is available in the group of Yoichi Ando at the University of Cologne. We are researching topological quantum computing based on superconductor/topological-insulator hybrid devices. Our group has successfully demonstrated Josephson junctions based on state-of-the-art topological insulator materials that are synthesized in-house, including exfoliated BiSbTeSe2 flakes, MBE-grown (Bi,Sb)2Te3 thin films, and VLS-grown (Bi,Sb)2Te3 nanowires. We are currently focusing on integrating those junctions in devices aimed at realizing Majorana zero modes.

MCQST | Ph.D. and Postdoc positions in Quantum Computing at TUM

The positions are with the group of Robert König and are funded by the ERC project “Enhanced quantum information processing targeting the near tearm” (EQUIPTNT). The goal is to characterize the computational capabilities of near-term quantum devices by studying their potential to yield disruptive boosts in information-processing power. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the design of quantum algorithms, quantum advantage experiments, quantum fault-tolerance, device certification and classical simulation algorithms.

The Walther Meißner Institute of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) is offering a PhD and a Postdoctoral researcher position on the experimental realization of quantum radar.

The positions are offered in a multidisciplinary collaboration with partners from science and industry. The Filipp Group at the Walther-Meissner-Institute (WMI) of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, located at the Campus Garching near Munich in Germany, is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher in experimental quantum computing with superconducting qubits.

The research is centred around multi-qubit architectures to study fundamental properties of complex quantum systems and their interaction with the environment, to investigate questions on scalability of solid-state quantum computing platforms, to identify designs that allow for interactions tailored to specific quantum algorithms and/or to improve their coherence and controllability.
