The Chair of Experimental Solid State Physics, led by Prof. Dr. Dmitri K. Efetov @ LMU Munich is setting a rapid pace in the advancement of 2D quantum materials such as moiré graphene and their applications.
In the framework of our Leibniz Preis project, we have several openings on a PostDoc, and PhD level. The aim of these positions is to engineer exotic quantum effects in novel 2D materials platforms and their hetero-structures, including strongly correlated, superconducting, magnetic and topological electron phases, and to use these for quantum sensing applications. From the new physics at the nanoscale and in the quantum regime, these fundamental studies will open up new pathways for novel functionalities and applications, that will make a difference in quantum technologies such as quantum sensing.
