We invite applications for a PhD position focused on exploring superconducting and magnetic proximity effects in the topological surface state of epitaxial heterostructures based on the intrinsic magnetic topological insulator MnBi₂Te₄. The research will involve optimizing the molecular beam epitaxial (MBE) growth of high-quality MnBi₂Te₄ films, down to a single septuple-layer (SL), on various van der Waals substrates. These layers will be analyzed in situ using ARPES and other surface-sensitive techniques.
